Modern essentials for retro phones.

One Java app, built for 2003 - 2013 J2ME phones.

Authenticator

Two-factor codes have become essential for digital security. We offer them generated on our server, or right on your phone completely offline.

Weather

It's always nice to know what the weather will do. Check current conditions, hourly and daily forecasts, and live weather alerts. Kept fresh for when you go offline.

Habits

Sometimes all you need to make a habit stick is a tracker in your pocket. A habit can be a simple check-off, or count how many times you do something. Habits also show streaks to remind you of your progress.

Works without signal

Authenticator codes keep refreshing in offline mode, Weather remembers the latest forecast, and Habit, Task, & Event actions queue in an on-phone outbox that syncs the moment you're back in range.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

ChaCha20-Poly1305 over the air, AES-256-GCM at rest. We name the ciphers and link the standards so you can judge the security for yourself.

One app, many phones

RetroRelay is built on the widest possible J2ME baseline: MIDP 2.0 on top of CLDC 1.0, runs on virtually every retro phone made between 2003 and 2013.

Connect the apps you already use

Beyond the built-in utilities, RetroRelay bridges to the services you already rely on, your tasks, your calendar, and more, so a glance at your retro phone is enough to stay on top of things.

  1. Install the app on your retro phone.
  2. Pair your phone with a six-digit code.
  3. Customise your features on the dashboard.
